
RF/Antenna In is for RF input (usually to allow TV viewing
- you must have a Video In card for this to function).
Video In has a SVHS and three RCA (Video and two audio)
connectors. This came pre-installed on some Performa systems.
PCI Cards - Video Out is more complicated and requres both a PCI card,
and software to operate. There are two different systems that
were specially designed to work with the 6400/6500:
Both require the Video In card to function (NOTE, let me repeat: to play
video out from your computer you must have the Video In card installed!)
Video Out (Mirror Monitor)
This is a largely unused port on Performa computers. It was an optional
extra, and requred you to buy a small card with a long flat cable
that you installed in the back of the motherboard (near the battery)
and lay across the CPU heatsink to line up with this plate.
It is called the "Apple External Video Connector" and it is not very
practical as it only mirrors EXACTLY what is displayed out the main
monitor port.
But it is a very easy way to get stuff out to your VCR/TV without having
to invest in a Video In card, PCI Video out and the software to run it.
